Our Breakfasts

Our guests enjoy a full breakfast included in the room rate. Wake up to Mexican coffee, a variety of juices, and fresh native fruits. Our breakfast entrees vary daily. Special dietary requests are welcomed at the time of your reservation.

Our Grounds

Casa Estrella is bordered by a 16th century cobblestone street leading to ancient mine ruins. Breathtaking mountain and city views are enjoyed from every room and the multi-leveled terraces on the estate. The garden is shaded by avocado and tropical fruit trees. Our guests may choose to enjoy our heated Jacuzzi and outdoor swimming pool (seasonally heated), refreshments on our rooftop honor bar, or browse through our libraries which offers a selection of CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, and books.

Our Architect

Francisco Moran Velazquez, Arq., of Guanajuato, GTO, combined his talents as architect and designer of Casa Estrella to create a blend of Mexican and Mediterranean styles. His vision has created a warm and romantic atmosphere of casual elegance.

Our Special Appointments

The distinctive decor of Casa Estrella includes marvelous examples of some of the finest in Mexican art. Unique works by local ceramicists Gorky Gonzales and Capelo and hand painted tiles by Azulejos Decorativos Carrillo of Dolores Hidalgo. Hand carved furniture with tooled aluminum from Maria Cristina of Ihuatzuio, Michoacan. The finely woven Zapotecan rugs from Oaxaca were provided by Felipe Hernandez of Indigo Rugs. More examples of hand carved furniture and furnishings combine to create a showcase for the many artistic treasures of Mexico.
