VOLARIS
Volaris is a relatively new airline that
began in March 2006. They offer direct flights from Tijuana to Leon,
with shuttle service from downtown San Diego, California, to the Tijuana
airport. They are somewhat of a “Jet Blue” of Mexico. Currently, flights
from Tijuana to Leon are at a not-so-convenient departure time of 1:15
A.M. Flights from Leon to Tijuana depart at 6:50 A.M., which also makes
for a very early departure from Casa Estrella. We are hopeful that they
see the benefit of flying between the two cities, and add some regular
daytime flights.
