This little Inn is perched high on the hillside of Guanajuato delivering sweeping views of the city. As other reviewers have noted, this does require a taxi into town (about $3.50 for the fare.). If staying in the heart of action is most important to you, I'd stay elsewhere. My sister and I spent 3 nights at Casa Estrella - and loved it. It was unbelievably relaxing - we enjoyed the collection of magazines and books (especially the ones on local art and history). The pool is serene. The breakfast is delicious. The kitchen is stocked with snacks that are always available to the guests; and the bar functions on an honor system. I also enjoyed the convenient location of the track making it possible to go for a run each day. Casa Estrella beautifully provides a comfortable stay.
